It was Marin's only second win over Ratchanok in seven meetings. In the mixed doubles, Dechapol and Sapsiree Taerattanachai crashed out to fourth seeds Lu Kai and Huang Yaqiong of China 16-21, 17-21. Wong Wing Ki received a bye to the last four after third seed Chen Long of China pulled out. In the women's doubles, fifth seeds Chang Ye-Na and Lee So-Hee of South Korea advanced with a 12-21, 21-15, 21-14 win over Denmark's second seeds Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen.
